How we handle the personal data you share with us. Last updated 15 October 2026.

Who we are

ForthGrid is a trading name of Tony Tabone, a self-employed business automation consultant based in Malta (Lotus Comp, Amaryllis P/H 10, Triq ta' Lanza, Żabbar ZBR 3253, Malta). VAT MT33067302. Tony Tabone is the data controller for personal data collected through forthgrid.com.

For any privacy question or request, email contact@forthgrid.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the minimum technical data needed to run the website.

  • Contact form: your name, company, email address, enquiry type, message, and (optionally) how you heard about us.
  • Email: anything you include when you email us directly.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details, which our hosting provider records in server logs. When you submit the contact form, your IP address is also held briefly in memory to prevent spam.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange a Workflow Review or prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep the website secure and stop spam and abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

We never sell your data or add you to a marketing list.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Google Cloud hosts the website on servers in Belgium (EU) and keeps server logs.
  • Resend delivers the emails generated by the contact form.
  • Zoho Corporation hosts our email inbox, in its EU data centre.
  • jsDelivr, a public content delivery network, serves a script used for the background animation. Your browser requests it directly, so jsDelivr receives your IP address.

Resend is based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards it offers, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 24 months.
  • If you become a client, we keep correspondence for as long as the work continues and afterwards for as long as Maltese tax and accounting law requires.
  • IP addresses used for spam prevention are held in memory for at most 10 minutes.
  • Server logs are kept according to our hosting provider's retention settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. Email contact@forthgrid.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta at idpc.org.mt.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
